Last Sunday at 1 pm my wife and I stopped by Woody's Crab House in North East, Maryland. "No Crabs till Monday"!!!!
So we drove about two miles South and found a roadside place called Captain Chris' Crab Shack. It has about two dozen outdoor picnic tables with beach umbrellas. All you can eat crabs for $15.95. The crabs were fresh steamed mediums (I'd say), all heavy and packed, not a light one in the bunch. They have a good beer selection and the staff and people we met were super friendly. We kicked off our shoes, dug our feet in the sand and enjoyed the crabs. We'll definitely be going back. Be advised this is a no frills kind of place (our favorite kind) and get there early. See their website at <www.captainscrabs.com>.
