The Hillbillies won by a slim margin, as shown below. 4 bushel total, Mutzy & Bob conceded around 1130 AM. More photos to follow, I'm steaming. The crew has supplied more details, here's some more photos:

WTG guys, looked like fun, and might be worthy of a rematch. Shizkickers win.

What a superb day! We arrived at the landing at 3:54am and boarded the great vessel "Hooked Up" with one of the best Captains on the Eastern Shore Capt. Chuck Schnaitman. We waited for my hillbilly partner Bruce, who motored down from York County, and arrived at 3:59am. Departed and headed to Chuck's chosen spot which he laid out the 3 lines, 2 clam bags and 1 bull lips. My trusty partner and I took the first run, not by choice (but proved to be the difference). We thought we had a nice first run til them [dang] Slickers got up and had probably the best run of the day, nearly a 1/3 bushel of crabs. We had a nice mix of MUMBOS, average and small crabs. We would run the 3 lines then cull out for size. We must have thrown back 2 bushels of little guys (which hopefully relates to an incredible fall crabbin season). The lead went back and forth the first couple of hours then us Hillbillies had them on the ropes for the remainder of the trip. Now my good friend Mutzy will tell you a different story but I will clear the air now. He had his NY Yankees hat to CLEARLY mark there bushel basket from ours. Well Mutzy (Jerry) had a blond moment and when there culling came up he threw 3 AGAIN 3 crabs in our bushel basket. Now by the time we started heading in it was up to about 15 that they (Jerry & Bobby) threw in our basket. So I am sure when he post, it will be close to half a bushel basket
but I am here to tell everyone it was ONLY 3 crabs and no us hillbillies did not allow them to retract out of our basket
Plus if they caught all the crabs they missed they would have beat us for sure. It was a great venture, enjoyment and some ball breakin that made for some great laughs. We finished up with 4 bushels of mixed crabs (size wise) we threw back all the lights and small jimmies. If anyone wants to have one heck of a good time I highly recommend booking a charter with Captain Chuck aboard "Hooked Up'. He can be reached at 410-310-8658

..THAT'S IT....THE HEAT,THE LONG DRIVE,AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER THINGS...DID YOU GUYS EVER NOTICE THE VERY.VERY BAD SUN REFLECTION ON THE WYE??DAVE AND BRUCE DID YOU NOTICE HOW FAST CHUCK WAS GOING WHEN IT WAS OUR TURN TO DIP?? I MEAN THERE WERE SO MANY DISTRACTIONS IT WAS LUCKY WE EVEN GOT THAT MUCH
YEAH WE MISSED 1OR 2
BUT HOW MANY DID YOU GUYS MISS ?...NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG I'M NOT ONE TO COMPLAIN BUT....
OK OK WE LOST
FAIR AND SQUARE..
We had a fantastic weekend starting from last night hanging out by the pool smoking a jumbo cigar and laughing and drinking grog ...As Dave said the whole trip was a blast. The company was great (even though my bros are from Pa. and they won
) The action was great in the early am then slowed down a bit as the day went on .....Ending up with 4 nice bushels is not to shabby
Thanks Captain Chuck for a good time ..and as always thanks WYE RIVER FOR YOUR TASTY BOUNTY
BTW ....I GOT BIT BY MOMBO..AS WE WERE CULLING HE WHACKED MY THUMB. WHAT HURT ME MORE WAS AS I JUMPED AND HE WENT BACK HOME
We document as many relevent events as possible, shame I wasn't videotaping at the time, I'm here to tell ya that no one was more surprised than the mumbo - I watched him fly about 10 feet up and out. Mutz needs to change his signature line to "Offa my thumb and into the drink

Great report guys, good job, nice crabs, and you guys had a great time with lots of laughs. Nothing beats a day off crabbing on a Schnaitman's charter with great company to boot.

Every time I read about Mutzy on a charter, I always get a big ol grin on my face.....and not just because NY lost!
Next time there should be a little wager, NY looses and they gotta wear a Phillies Jersey and pose for pictures!
Awesome pictures guys and thanks for sharing! I think we should talk to Chuck about getting a video camera mounted on his boat, whataya think? Maybe a direct link to youtube?

Just a real time web cam. Then the Wye is ruined. Perhaps a video tape/CD/whatever the newest technology is copy of the trip made available?
