Never seen a blue crab north of sandwich, MA.......and that was in the canal............ Undecided

Been on Vacation and have not been following posts.................

Rob is correct, Southcoast Massachusetts is the Northern tip of the range.  I have heard reports of the occasional crab seen further north, but they are certainly rare.  A couple of years ago a friend who is a commercial lobsterman in Maine told me that several times over the years he has seen blue crab.  He said they were small.

With warmer temperatures, it could be possible the range is extending and Mother Nature always throws a curve ball from time to time.

I was out driving yesterday and noted that there were several places in the area where people were handlining.  I expect to see even more this weekend.

With the numbers we are hearing about on the coast, I wouldn't be suprised.  Plus the heat this summer.
