Hello - I have pretty much been crabbing for my entire 25 years of existing.  My brother told me about this website, so I checked it out, liked what I saw and signed up.  So this is my first post: Hit the Wye early Sunday morning, launched about 4am, started crabbing at legal time.  Ended the day about noon with 2 packed bushel.  Still had a lot of small ones but the number of keepers seems to have increased.  Caught a TON of doublers, but no soft shells.  Ran into some nice people at the ramp, which unfortunately, doesn't seem to happen a whole lot at the Wye.  Most people are still reporting a lot of throwbacks, and that doesn't seem like it's gonna change anytime soon.  Weather was perfect and overall, it was a great day on the water with Dad, and my brother.  Should be an exciting September...

Every person I have personally met at the Wye have been nice and very chill.  I hope it stays that way.  Last time I was there, some dude gave me a ride back to the ramp after I had to park a mile up the road in the AM.  People like that are awesome.  I totally believe in Karma.

Hello, I'm also new to the site.  I was at the wye on Sunday too.  We didnt hit the water until around noon.  ( I like to let the early birds clear out )  Ran only 17 traps and only caught 1/2 bushel.  Just about every crab had to be measured.

Welcome aboard guys! Their are alot of good people crabbing at the Wye. I feel the people who seem grouchy or won't say Hi are the people who don't know $hit and are trying to act like they do.  Thanks for the report! Just think all thoes small crabs will turn into mumbos sometime and if that don't put a smile on your face I don't know what will. Look for boats with a black and white sticker on them that say BCA or CRAB. They wont be rude to you. Grin

BTW you can get thoes stickers for your boat and vehicle now.

Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy the site! There are many nice folks at the Wye. I have had people tow me in, lend me chicken necks, and share fuel. It is one of my favorite places ever! Hope to see you there one day!
