I steam my crabs whole then pick them apart and eat them. Wife wants to try steaming a few crabs that have been cleaned to c how they taste. how long do i steam them for? I steam my whole crabs when i c steam escaping the lid i know there'll be done in 25 to 30 minutes. I'm thinking since there cleaned should be a shorter time

Thats how i do it.. Clean them first. Just don't put alot of seasoning  on because it will be overwhelming. Done after 20 mins

If I do a full pot,it's a bushel and a half cleaned and I run them around 25 minutes.
