A man from Talbot County called me back about the landing permits and they now have them. This is what they need....

1- Copy of your driver's license
2- Copy of your boat registration
3- Check for $10.00 made out to Talbot County Dept of Parks & Recreation
4- Self address stamp envelope
5- Mail to: Talbot Community Center, Department of Parks and Recreation, 10028 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD. 21601

I guess a note saying you want a 2005 Talbot County Public Landing Permit....

He didn't say anything about that but it wouldn't hurt......

I sent for one and got is last week, the $10.00 fee is for out of state people. Save alot on gas by getting it by mail.
Also you can download a 2005 crabbing license application at:

http://www.dnr.state.md.us/download/dnrforms.asp

I also sent that in and got them back last week, now I'm all ready to go..... sunny

You say thats for out of state crabbers10 dollars ? Huh Thats cheap ..used to be 35 dollars then was supposed to be 15 last year..confusion...! How bout a MD crabber?
how much?  last year I got a Queen Annes permit..too much Talbot confusion and they did not have the permits in April when I went over there.. so's "Long Ranger" trips from QA were in order.

There was something going on last year about a federal law suit about Talbots fees for in vs out of state..had to do with fed moneys to fix up boat ramps after the Hurricane Isabel.. they were going to go with a single fee..of 15 dollars but that became mired in confusion as well!

Hey Talbot Co..Lead.. Follow or you know what!

The way I understood the man I talked to the $10.00 fee was for every one. But to be sure give them a call (410) 770-8050.

Dorchester county doesn't charge a landing fee and no permit is needed.
Maybe you should consider going to cambridge. Same water. Same crabs.
No fees. Grin Grin Grin

Talbot Co. is $10.00 for everyone.  I live in QA county and it cost me $25 for QA and $10 for Talbot.

I got my Talbot County permit Saturday at Vonnies on Rt. 213. $10. And another $10 for an out of state crabbing license. Total of $20. Not bad. Paid $35 last year just for the Talbot County  permit.
