Gene - I have people looking for oysters around Christmas. If you are making a run around that time, I'm in for 2-3 bushels, maybe more.
I'm not too sure about the Oysters this year...From what I've heard they are scarce, and bring 45-50 bucks a bushel to the boat...

C D, Last year Chef Lar had a friend pick his crabs up when he couldn't make it on time.. Does one have a friend?? btw, Every goose hunt should have a Dog.... Hey Pup, looks like I should be able to make the pick up this year. If'n you need a friend, even if it's just for the day, I'd be happy to pick up for you. Might even be able to drop them off too. Let me know.

If it takes a chicken and a half a day and a half to lay an egg and a half, how long would it take for a squirrel with a wodden leg to kick the seeds out of a dill pickle? Think about it, or not.

I might have to postpone the Crab Run... I wrenched my knee last week, and I don't know if I'll be able to drive 6 hours or not...Right now it hurts like crazy even when I drive for 20 minutes.. I'm hoping it will get better in the next couple days..I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on whats going on.. If theres anyway possible, I will be making the run as planned, I'll let you guys know for sure by Wednesday Afternoon, so you can keep your plans too...

As soon as he turned 50 the problems started just like clockwork. Take it easy Gene, and we'll see you when you get here, whatever day it is. Take care of yourself first. We can all wait.

We can all wait. Speak for yourself Chef! I was really jonesing for some nice crabs from NC. Maybe another BCA member can step up and cut a deal if Gene can't make it. I spend hours cleaning out the garage getting ready. Gene- get plenty of rest and make sure that knee is ready for a possible Dec run. I want crabs for Christmas!!
