They will be on to something when they can "induce molting" on an 8 inch hard crab. What would that be about an 11 inch softie? I'd pay big money for one of them.

actually got to give the most props to jack...he got me started ...and a little trial and error on my part Wink  rays words of wisdom will help me more this upcoming year  Grin most I ever had one grow was 1 5/8"

No, thats fine if you like eatting them really soft..We let them "firm" up before we take em out of the tanks...I see lots of wrinkles in the one in the picture, if we took em out that soft, they'd die before they got to market..They are really weak after they shed...We leave em in for about 3 hours after they shed,depending on the water temps.. But they won't reach there full length until they get Hard..And the slower they harden(cold water,low salinity,and low calcium) the bigger they get too..
