 ???iam 57 yrs ,i crabed and clamed in little egg back in the mid 70s, i could stand in the water waist deep and see my feet,,sept i bought a boat to fish again,i was in the water,,now you cant even see your knees in wast high water Embarassed, IS IT THAT POLLUTED?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh

            to  many  boaters   -  jet  skiers   -   winter  storms  -  summer  plant bloom -  i  clam
             most   of  the  yr  and   go  thru  all  fazes  of  the  bay  -   keep  tryin
                next   they  will say  to  many  bennies  are  causing  it

No more oysters in the Bay... oysters used to be able to filter the ENTIRE volume of water in the Chesapeake Bay every week.

From the Chesapeake Bay Foundation:

"The oysters in the Bay could once filter a volume of water equal to that of the entire Bay (about 19 trillion gallons) in a week. Today, it would take the remaining Bay oysters more than a year."

A very good reason to introduce the Asian oyster to the bay and let it take over since they know it can survive.Should have already been done.
