Being that it's the 100 anniversary of the 1911, every gun mag is running articles about them right now... I have read them all. Well at least all the local mag store sells. Grin 1911s do look cool but I'll put my trust in a wheel gun for CC... One pull... One bang... Everytime.  158gr xtps for winter.  125gr xtps for summer.

9 mm glock model 17, it will hold 18 rds. matched to my highpoint 9mm carbine this is my home and civil defence combo. the glock is super safe with the trigger safty and always ready to rock, the highpoint is not a high quality gun but shoots well and i haen't had any jams with the shooting i've done. my glock is my winter carry ,when needed, and i have a colt pocket lite 380 for those warm summer nites when i have to go places i'd rather not. i also own a s&w 629 factory custom in 44 mag. it's got the 8 3/8 barrel and is ported and has trigger work done making it a very accurate and fun to shoot, for awhile anyway, it's used primarily for deer hunting by me and my son.

Interesting combo... I have been looking at those exact guns.  Waiting for Gallery of guns to get stocked back up. They haven't had any 9mm glocks since the Gifford's shooting. Think I'm going with a 19.  I like the price of the Highpoint but was nervous about reliability.  Have started to lean toward a Bushmaster but I also like the keltec cause it uses Glock Mags.

Just picked up a kel-tec 9mm.  Sweet piece.  My ears were ringing for 5 minutes after I shot it once.  LMAO.  Plugs next time.
