Ok, I am a former disturbed waterman.. sold my card and gear licences back in 2004..
 I want to crab again..
 Am I legal ?? I buy a recreational crab pot license  and this allows me 5 crab pots.. then I can have 2 for each member of the family.. So I have a wife, daughter, and 2 grandchildren.. So I can fish 13 pots ?

It may help to tell us where you are considering to crab at.  I assume VA with the direction your question is going.

Sure... I live in Middlesex county and would be crabbing in the Rappahaanock River and a couple small creeks..

If you DON'T Have a green card..............You can do just about anything you want...EVERYTHING IS FREE.....Food,housing and health care...........Makes me wish I was Mexican "SOMETIMES"... Roll Eyes

No,, and any cards. I sold my commerical card  and the crabbing and peeler license.. All in package deal..
 I do have for collectablility sake.. all my original cards from the first through about 200 I think though..

I am almost 51 ,,  born & raised in Richmond Va and moved to Water View Va in 1988.. I am a US resident.. sorry for not giving some history earlier..

Hmmm..... I am of Mexican decent (English is my 2nd language).  I have 2 houses, one is a beach house, 2 boats, 7 TVs, motorcycle, and several other vehicles, but none of them were free.  Neither was my education.  Am I doing something wrong?

Actually, I'm a 15 generation Texan.  Problem is, that area was Mexico in the 1700s, then it became Texas, then US.  My ancestors came here from Spain to that area around 1760, long before other immigrants came to the US.  I guess we just kind of stayed here.

No you can not.  "You" can get a 5 pot gear license in VA.  "You" can fish those 5 pots and only those 5 pots.  Each member of your family can also get a 5 pot gear license.  "You" can not fish their pots, unless they are in the boat with you at the time you are fishing.

WITHOUT THE 5 POT LICENSE, OR ANY LICENSE FOR THAT MATTER
YOU CAN HAVE 2 COMMERCIAL POTS PER PERSON, PROPER SIZE CULL RINGS ARE A MUST
THEY (PRESONS POTS YOU ARE PULLING) MUST ME ON THE B.O.A.T. WITH YOU
AND YOU CAN FISH THEM ON SUNDAY
5 POT LICENSE PROHIBITS TENDING POTS ON SUNDAY
