We crabbed at the Waupoppin Canal on Wed evening for about 1 1/2 hrs and kept 3 dz of nice FAT 7" + Jimmies. We threw back a boat load of crabs. Kids were having fun pulling 3 & 4 crabs up in a trap at a time.
We then spent Thu & Fri in Engelhard crabbed Lake Landing, at the Lodge, and more Waupoppin. (stayed at Hotel Engelhard). We caught A L O T of crabs.
The folks at the hotel were gracious as always. They said they are looking forward to the crew next month. They really enjoy the crazy crabbers as they put it. We should have no problems catching enough crabs for the feast.
