NEW ROLLER DESIGN , THANKS FOR THE IDEA CRABBYD

glad it worked Russ and it looks great.  It definitely saves from using a flap.  Next upgrade is find the cable reel with the plastic ends and get rid fo the wood.  The crabs look nice and dirty.

i use a roller....would never use anything else....works awesome..and stock up on spools....good ones are hard to find;)  ( large center circumfrence and tall plastic sides) i usually " steal " mine from home depot...lol  old fishing line spools work well to..If you can find them.

I never remove them, I do not glue any longer, glue is not forgiving nor does it allow for replacement.....expensive in the short run..........cheap in the long run............even after 5 or ten yrs the FORD (a better idea) might shine in your brain. Grin

Very cool!Both of my children started crabbing,fishing,hiking,cooking with me when they were 3.No I did not them shoot of course but they have run the boat while I pull up traps in calm water about 40 yards from the farms dock.On a weekday afternoon.
