I am  not sure if this will help anyone, but I have a stack of log books and prepaid envelopes left anyone here is welcome to have if you need them. Not sure if they would be any help to anyone.
Just a thought.

Chris

All reports now have to have a bar code. Don't know whether DNR will continue paying the freight on the envelopes.

I'm sure DNR wants to push EVERYONE into the electronic filing - IF they can hire somebody who KNOWS what the H*ll they are doing and can keep them!! The system they are using is a generic setup, pretty much sucks.  Huh

Just my opinion.

Instead of DNR trying to screw someone they should take the 4 mil buyback money and invest in a decent system.

I have leftover pre-paid envelopes also, I plan to use them.  The address is the same as it always has been.

Does anyone see a reason not to use the pre-paids?  they don't expire, do they?

I called and asked last year when they stopped the prepaid. They told me as long as I had them, I could use them. Worked for me all last year. I plan on using them until I run out. Unfortunately, all of the new ones they have sent WEREN'T prepaid. Embarassed

The only reason not to use the prepaid is to send reports signature required so when they say i didn't report i have proof i did reort. cost a little more but helps me relax a little.

I send all my reports certified/registered every month.  Last year they said they did not receive two month's of reports.  I had them dead to the wall with my return receipt. Cost: 7 months @ $5.25    $36.75    Well worth it.  I also left a message last year to file via internet, as of this writing I have yet to get a call back.

sending them signature required is a little cheaper because they don't send the sig. to me unless there's a problem then i can reqest a copy from their records.

Print out a delivery time from the tracking number and staple to your copy of the report.
I don't trust the post office for to many months. They loose records also.

On the DNR website is a report you can print off and mail, until you get the papers from DNR. Send it priority mail with confirmation on delivery. Go on line for the post office and print the delivery info. Do this every month or until they finally send your stickers and reports.

That way you are protected from any penalties. It's never their fault.

Is this your first year with the license?  If you have last years book, continue to use the reports that you have left over.  Maybe your not in their system.  I would keep calling.  Have you tried Diane Samuels?

Rule #1 - NEVER leave a message on voice mail. Keep calling until you get a real, live person, then make sure you ask for their name.
