yes i crab there every summer..underneath the 95 bridge gets pretty packed and so does the DEp pier your best bet is finding the few holes in canals along route 1

Hey Nmarino13,
Did you ever try crabbing on the Lieutenant river in a boat? Have you heard how the crabs are running in the river. We tried the a few years ago and caught some nice jumbo's.

Hudson - How far up/down the Lieutenant did you go? You dump the boat in at the state launch off Shore Rd/156? I've stopped to observe the Lieutenant at the old rt. 1 bridge and the water seems very deep and moves very fast...unsuitable for crabbing, but that could just be because the river narrows there?
