What do the crabs tend to do around that time of year? I know a bunch of them are usually molting, but they're all not right? Would hand lining be sufficient, or would I have to do some other technique?

Most kick back with a beer and bar-b-q but only when the temps are in the 65 - 70 range.  When your in the shallow you get the occasional one that passes out from sun stroke and dehydration.  He's not dead just give him a little water and he'll be fine.    Grin

We always handline for them in Rehoboth Bayand Indian River Inlet over Memorial Day weekend.  Sometimes we don't do so well until we start drifting for flounder.  Then they eat the heck out of our killies!   Wink

Good luck.    I'll be down in Oak Orchard that weekend.   Crabbing is always good.
