Lobster tastes good too........lol. Guess I never aquired a taste for the softies, especially at that price. My husband orders them in restaurants, but we never made them at home.

I've never been a lobster fan.  Sad  We get fresh ones right off the boat.  Everybody wants them when they come. Just doesn't thill me. Undecided  Probably had 2 in 10 years.  Keep trying them but lobster just dont do it for me. Sad  I do look forward to fresh soft crabs in the spring. Smiley

Lobster is so bland to me, but the wife loves it.  I always wondered if steaming with old bay might help.  And, melted butter belongs on fresh baked bread right out of the oven... Cheesy

I take Fl. lobster and soak the tailmeat in milk, cut in chunks, tempura batter and fry, or split them stuff the head with crabmeat and grill.

Just got back from Maine and we had our share of lobstah.  I think it is pretty darn tasty but to each his own.  The kids were asking if I liked crab or lobster better.  Tough call, but both are good.  Each has their own taste.  I didn't mind the easy picking of lobster either!  Nice big lobster-cicles for the claws and popped that tail meat right out.  2 lobsters for lunch in Kennebunkport yesterday went down easy in about 20 min.

Tonight: the two 3 pounders and two 1.5 pounders we brought home plus some fresh white corn.

Tomorrow: fresh crabs from Huh??  Haven't decided which Labor Day Sunday crowd I want to wait in line with at the ramp...  Gotta get the trotline wet again before I forget how.

My crabbing buddy was in Crisfield, MD last week.  I would guess more softcrabs are shed in Crisfield than any other area the same size.  My buddy wanted to buy a few (less than a dozen) unfrozen softies.  Unfortunately, the place where he was trying to get em from would only sell them in boxes that held 4 dozen.  And the price for a box of 4 doz. smalls......  $44.00    My buddy ended up splitting a box with another guy that was there for the same reason.

BTW, they were not taking any more peelers in to shed, and were finishing up with the peelers they had.

Depressing huh!
