Crabs are slowing down. Tuesday catch 111 lbs. no. 1's, 82 lbs no. 2's. Sorry no pics.
Today 4-01
78 lbs. no. 1's, 60 lbs. no. 2's
225 traps on a 3 day set.

Send some of that warm water over here to the east coast (along with a few crabs) 23lb #1 and 52lb #2 on 150 traps but they sat all week

Ronnie, Congrats once again...save me some, one's I can reach by the shore...lol..I'm going to be making it up/over there by the beginning of May and hopefully crabbing will still be strong by then . I'm still not used to crabbing so early in the year, back hm (the DC metro area) the water is much to cold rt now. Keep me posted, pls. |

Bad storms came through last night. Winds mid Lk. Pontchartrain gusted to 90 MPH. My traps are probally scattered. I can't get out till Thursday. Wish me luck.

Yeah Ronnie, we had snow up here a week ago. Still lots of cold water coming into the bay from up north. Gotta head way south. Even your weather as of late hasn't been spectacular. Better days my friend. |

Monday was pretty rough. Winds blew hard, gusted to 90 mph mid Lk Pontchartrain. Temps dropped to mid 60's on Tuesday. Today Friday it was back up to mid 80's and possible upper 80's tomorrow.
Another cold front comming Monday. Temps suppose to drop down to a high of 80. HAHA some cold front.
Big male still chasing females. Took 5 hours trying to find my traps from Monday's storm. Going again on Saturday to try to find more traps. Going crabbing on Wednesday next week. I'll keep in touch.

I don't know about where he is selling but where I sold my crabs a #1 had to be 6 1/2" or larger male. Any male smaller and all females were considered #2 crabs. Warren |
