Swimming around with a net while snorkeling? I was debating on trying this or not. I know the water can be a bit muddy but there are days when its nice and clear where I crab. I could set out a few chicken lines as well before heading out into the water.

Any ideas, thoughts?

I was thinking of making my own light wait wire cage with some sort of flotation so i could easily stand up and put the crabs in. i would just tie it around my waist and let it float behind me.

Prehaps a floating fish basket or laundry basket with a lid.........I think IMP in NB sells the floats for the orange fish baskets.........

You cannot scuba for crabs in MA without a ten pot license but you can snorkle..........

will be easier without the net....thre some in the pool last year and they are not as bad to catch as you would think...although the pool water is really clear....when you get close they put up a defense stance and you can pin the donw and reach around and grab the backfin...Id like to try it but I'm not swimmin in the water I crab in...lol
