Take a drive over to Jersey in Red Bank.  Its only 40-45 mins away from Manhattan.  By the end of the month it should be jumping there.

Man... off the bridge? How long were your main lines?

Is that the first bridge heading to Rockaway or the other way around? thanks
SORRY FOR THE LATE ANSWER.....Yep we crabbed off the bridge,at that time we called it the first bridge. The bridge going to Rockaway on Cross bay Blvd.We never went dead center were closer to shore. We even had long handle scoop nets. Got tons of snappers off that bridge also. Used can sardines, rubbed inside of folded window screen and got spearing for bait..MAN THOSE WERE THE DAYS...

Caught one on Saturday, off the Crossbay Bridge. Finally... Spiders were in abundance, too. Which is a good sign usually.

Went yesterday, 6 hours, almost a bucket full, lost count. I only used bunker, first time in my crabbing experience I had to drive to Bait & Tackle to get more bunker. This is the best year since I started crabbing, so far.

In my opinion, Bunker is the best bait. I set a few overnight traps with Bunker about an hour ago.
