hi y'all  i'll be staying in the southern shores area and i'm interested in renting a boat, gear and bait.  Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

you can try crabbing by the first bridge you cross on collington rd behind the Wright Brother Memorial MP 8 or the little bridge on the cause way by Whale bone Junction MP 16 there is a place there that rents boats too. that is about as close as your gonna get.... Or you can contact Genecrabman who is a member on here at Half Fast seafood and he will hook you up with a half or full basket at a great price.  I have gotten crabs from him several times....  and he always takes care of BCA folks..... just do a search for him on here ... but Gene can hook you up he is right back on Collington Rd also

good luck, but IMHO I have caught a few crabs for fun, but to get some nice crabs either take you own boat if you have one or see Gene

Yeah i saw his posts below and have an e-mail into him.  sounds cool to "green horn" for him and get paid with crabs.  thanks for the help!

hey while i'm at it, anyone have some good spots for real BBQ, Happy hours and nightlife in duck and Southern shores?
