Moyer Mitchell was $12 for a 40 lb box of fresh chicken necks as of 2 weeks ago. $22 for a 30 lb case of giant frozen turkey necks.

I live in northern Jersey.  I usually crab in the Red Bank area.  Any ideas on where I can get chicken necks (reasonably priced) somewhere nearby?  I don't have room 40 lbs (I live in an apartment).  Do they sell in smaller quantities?  I imagnine the price would be higher.

For those with storage issues, buy them fresh and put about 100 necks each in a one-gallon freezer bag.  You'll get 6 bags out of a 40# box and you can tuck the bags right next to the newly frozen casserole or set them on top of the kids' ice cream or just smoosh them into something and shut the door quickly.  Your wife will love you for having the courtesy to maximize the free space in your freezer.  Honest.  She will.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

With higher demand, the price will follow.  I blame Ronster.  As soon as he made a sticky and got his bait the price went up...  Roll Eyes    Wink
