Has anyone recently crabbed the st jones?  i use to handline from the dock/pier there when i was kid.  we use to do pretty well off the dock.  just wondering...

i crab from the pier every year, some years it starts in mid june, but usually july is when it starts to do good. just got to beat everyone out there though.

hey i appreciate the info was thinking about taking my daughter there to catch a few crabs, i know she would enjoy that.  just something fun and easy.  Like i said about 15 years ago i use to crab from there when i was a kid and we did awesome. Are you using pots or handlining?

over there i handline or use 2 ring crab nets with weights on bottom to keep them from flipping over in the current. good luck!

right off of rte 1, past DAFB... cross over the river on rte 1 make first right heading south...Good luck
