Hay ReelQuick, good to see you back on the board.  Have you been hitting the Del River this year?  If so, which ramp Ridley or Chester?  I was on the Del for a test run about 3 weeks ago, very very choppy!  Not my favorite place to be.

I've been thinking about trying Dividing Creek also.  I was down OCNJ about a week ago and got some nice size crabs, but only 18 total.  I would like to get close to a bushel (we all do)!  No matter where I go, the Wye, Jersey, I always top out at about 2 dz.  Hoping I may have better luck at Dividing Creek.

I found Dividing Creek Boat Rental on the web.  Is there a ramp close by?  I have a 20ft Jetboat (seadoo), towed by a MiniVan (not the best combo).  Is the ramp big enought to handle a 20ft.  Is the ramp in good enough condition for a Minivan (not sand but concrete and not a ton of alge on the ramp)?

Once in the water, any tips?  Which direction to head, and how far to go.

If I remember right, very buggy, must have bug spray, any other must have?

Thanks, for the info.

Phillyguy,

It's been a few years since i've been there. However, There is pretty much no other way to go. You follow the creek and then you'll see a few little break off creeks. i hear people have been really killing them there this year. They do have a ramp. But, tatoo's advice is sound....just call. Also, you want to talk to the expert on that area...."Captain Willie Crab" He's the guy!! Godd Luck and post results!!
I may just have to go back to the old stomping grounds.

Stop by and see Joe at Dividing creek for your bait and supplies, he's got the best prices, but, if you have a 4X4 save the ramp fees, drive a little bit past and look for Hansey Creek rd on your right.  Follow it to the end and there is a free ramp that puts you in just above where you want to go on Dividing creek. You can also access the bay pretty easy too.  Be careful on the ride back to the ramp as the road is not in the best shape and, if you don't have a 4X4 you will almost certainly get stuck (with it no problem). After you launch turn right and follow Hansey Creek out to Dividing creek and turn right to hit the crabbing spots down by Maple Creek or turn left to head out to the bay.  Pay close attention to landmarks as it's easy to get turned around if you're not familiar with the area.  Good Luck and let us know how you do.

http://www.dividingcreekboatrentals.com/

Best way to get there from Delco is to head over the Commodore Barry and take 322 to 77 and follow it until it turns into 553.  There's other directions on the link.
