cooked some crabs i caught today.......forgot about a dinner date tonite ,so they are in the fridge.....whats the best way to warm em up tomorrow nite
??

I'd just eat 'em cold. At that point I think they'd be better that way than trying to re-heat. JMO. If I really wanted hot crabmeat at that point I'd pick 'em for cakes or a saute.

...they are in a counter top oven,with stone crab claws....the oven was heated a little,then turned off.....tray w/ crabs was then put in ...just tryin to get the chill off them..

We used to put them in a paper bag and microwave them. Now we prefer them cold.

i like them at room temp.[like osama is]
....these crabs,all sooks were o k,BUT never in a lifetime of pickin crabs,have i ever came across harder shells....the crabs felt''heavy'',but all the weight was in the shells...if crabs were this hard to pick all the time,no one would bother w/ them

I like 'em warm. We just steam them for a little while. Keeps the moisture in and heats them nicely.

one thing i forgot to do was to cover them w/ a very wet towel , while they are in the fridge.....i kept them overnite in the very cold ''beer fridge'' and uncovered they seem to dry out some..

you can get your steamer rolling again and toss them back in for 3-5 min. It will heat with out drying out I have done this many times, I like them cold, but there something about a hot fresh steamed crab... the crab houses resteam all the time but they seem to leave them in too long, hence why i crab for myself!!!

Cold is fine for me, however you can take off the top shell and remove the guts then place in the microwave for a few seconds on low power. Helps to put a damp paper towel over them.

I nuke 'em lightly on 50-70% power. Time will vary depending on your microwave, but I do no more than 3-5 at once.
