Let me just say............

OK, lil bit a bitchin.....
You all know I only get home 3 weeks in summer, and 2 in fall, but not this year. No fall, as we have a lot of base closures. Anyway, was home the 17th of June thru the 6th of Jul;y. I live in mid Pa now, but I still run to Md for crabs, and at $3.50 a gallon, it adds to the price. Only home a short time, so I AM going to get my crab fix.
Went to Md on Tuesday, the 21st. Tried in Chestertown, but late in the day. Had the wife along too. Nice ride so.......Tried Schnaitmans early the morning of 22nd, but had to come back later. None in yet.....Drove all the way to Crisfield, and found them at Lintons Crab House. Was mid afternnon by now, so he had plenty......
Prices were high, but.....The 4th coming up, gas, bait etc....OK, only getting a half bushel, as I'm the only one eating them. I'll bite the bullet, cause I need the "fix"..All different sizes and shapes, with about 10 different prices. I'm going top shelf! They have females, 1s, 2s, etc. Softees too. You want to buy light crabs?? They sell them separate. OK.
I get the 1/2 bushel of 1's, @ $85......Yep, lil steep but......OK, there are about 3.5 dozen, I'm told?? OK, so 7 doz in a bushel?? WOW..... I want the best though, so.....Now, I'd even bought 2 small 28qt coolers to carry them in. Ice, etc, gas misc. and this is some expensive friggn crabs, but I'm only here NOW, so......

I drive on over to Ocean City where we are spendind the night, and get in my room. I gotta have a crab before dinner......Just 1.... I'll be danged!!! It's a light crab. Oh well, can't expect them to get them all. Well, this is getting long, so I'll get to the point......About 70% were LIGHT!!!!!! Talk about pissed. If it wasn't so far to go back.....Just bitchin, cause I'm back over "there", and a bad experience wasn't good. Just my lil bitchin....I'll go quietly now......
