The best Crab House in Jacksonville Florida is called The Blue Crab a Maryland Style Crab House. I have been going here for well over 10 years. They steam the Blue Crabs and use a spice they will not tell me what it is. The cost of a half dozen blue crabs is about $18.00, lets see Maryland do that!

We have a local place that's
all you can eat
steamed crabs and corn for $15.95. I believe that might top your deal in FL.

In Maryland some places have all you can eat or 1.00 crabs all year round. There are 3 within 5 miles of my house. All you can eat in the dead of winter for under 20 bucks...

Most of the time all you can eat crabs are the small ones that should have been put back in the bay.

Eh.......
Alls good, just depends on where you are. All good deals.............Jersey crabs are a lil bit different, but when I'm home, nothing beats the CrabShack Crabhouse in Crabtown..........1/2 doz for about $10 not bad! If you eat that many, you can get another half for $5........ After that they don't charge you and will pay $2 a crab for what you can eat. I made 34 bucks last month when I was home. Paid for my gas to get there!
........... Happy Trails.............

I don't know where this place is that would pay you for each crab after a dozen but if I took my wife there I guarantee she would own the place

Yep Doc, I was in a hurry!
If they didn't deduct the cost of the beer from my "earnings", I would have made out a LOT better.

Sorry Florida.
But glad you get to enjoy some tasty Maryland Style Steamed Crabs. Let me know if you would like to get some Maryland style seasoning. I can get you 10 lbs for $10 from a local supplier. There has to be litterally hundreds of different versions of seasoning here in Maryland but this particular seasoning is one of my personal favorites.

What size are the crabs at these "all - you - can - eat" restaurants, and are they heavy or whities? Does the waiter/waitress get lost after a certain number of "refills"

The crabs are, admittedly, 2's but are usually full at the one near my home(no shameless plug here) they make their money on the beverages and other food that people order. There are places here that sell big fat Texas crabs here also but I would rather invest 75.00 on other things. (That's 75.00 a dozen) The best crabs are the ones I catch and steam (NOT BOIL) and share with family and good friends.
