In a 4x10 shedder you can put about 500 peelers.
I dont think so... Everyone here run 4x8s.. The ones I see almost everyday ain't got no 500 crabs in them.

Sometimes we put up to 600 if we get everything filled up and run out of places to put em...I got 216 softcrabs out of 1 shedder in 1 fishing up this spring..That was a record..

That's a lot of little crabeys My minds eye is telling me 200-250 in the crab house in Saxis. Going out shortly to drop some peeler pots. I'll ask the guys what they do when I'm out there.

Normally I only pout about 400-500 but when I need the room, I'll do 4 baskets 3/4 full..That about 150 peelers to the basket..

I generally start out with 200-250, 2 bushels filled to the strap. But when things get full I have put 4 bushels to the tank...

How long do wooden shedding box usually last? Do yall line it with something to extend life? For example, shower wall/floor material available at the Hardware store. Or is that more work then needed. I am going to guess most of ya'll use something other then just wooden boxes )on the professional level) such as plastic liner, fiberglass, or even concrete.
I thought about making a box with the wood as the mold" and just fiberglass over that, but not sure how cheap i be able to get the fiberglass material now days. (3x8 ft with a 10-12in walls and the corners cut off at 45 degree angle to promote water flow)

I built mine out of ext plywood and used gluvitit wors great I see if I can pst something for you.

Thanks for all those pictures, I like how you have your drain cover notched out on the bottom... How did you get the pipe to stick up from the drain like that? does the bulkhead fitting allow for a slip fit of a smaller diam pipe into it?
