Oceanic Marina Crabbing

I'm taking my daughter crabbing on 8/12 and will be crabbing out of Oceanic Marina.  I'm new to crabbing there and was wondering where it's best to crab......close to the marina, the other side of the Navesink.  I'm not looking for exact locations just a general area. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You need not travel far, there are lots of great crabbing spots around the Oceanic Bridge.  I could give you North, South etc etc, try this spot:  Oppsite side of the river from Oceanic Marina; then go under the bridge heading out make immediate left stay out 200 yards away from the channel, depending on the tide try to stay in 6' to 8' water. (area called River Bend)  No guarantee, but it usually produces for me.  Good luck, have fun!
