That's right....killed at least 30 chickens for no reason!!!!  Angry Angry Angry

Went out near elk neck to my usual spot. Ran topless traps with necks in the incoming tide for 3 hrs. 6 keepers. 1 was 7 1/2"

But I think I will leave the chickens keep their necks if this is how this season is gonna go!!!!!

There is a difference between last year, and this year. Salt content. Even many of the mid bay striper fisherman are saying the same thing. You need salt. Blue crabs dont do well in fresh water. We had a VERY wet spring. They will be there but I think it's just going to take them a bit longer then last year when we had a very dry spring/summer. I wasnt until late June, Early July when I started to finally see Sea Nettles in the Choptank/Tred Avon. They are usually all over the place by early June. Not seeing them means that the surface water is very fresh and they stay deep. You can see it on your depthfinder as well when the water seperates like that. Give it time and they will be there!
