Is your revised question about Florida trotline regs?   If so, please refer to the Southeast Regional Crabbing forums, in the rules and regs section.

peanut butter and Snookering is without question on the table. Seriously I'm an old guy looking to retire and my love and obsession is to be on the water for my remaining days. I think crabbing fits the bill for this old timer to supplement his social security.

On that note.........I wish I could help ya and I hope someone that can will..........no snooker here............just send the peanut butter.....best of luck on your quest for knowledge......as I know nothing about the laws where you are..........

Sargent Schultz the peanut butter is headed your way shipping is slow here so it could be late March or some time beyond that before it gets to you, let me know if it hasn’t got to you by then.

Thank you so much for the info, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply.

But I'm wondering with the moratorium on commercial endorsements in Florida that use pots and the huge price for transfers.  Do commercial crabbers/commercial watermen need endorsements to use trotlines in order to sell their catch in Florida?

7. Subparagraphs 1. through 6. shall not apply to any trap used to harvest blue crabs for other than commercial purposes, which trap has a volume of no more than 1 cubic foot and is fished from a vessel, a dock, or from shore.
(b) Dip or landing net.
(c) Drop net.
(d) Fold-up trap.
(e) Hook and line gear.
(f) Push scrape.
(g) Trotline.

sorry i still don't understand
I'm aware of the need of a SPL to sell crabs.

Let's move this over to the SE Rules and Regulations section and find out.   I split off your question above and posted it as a new here:

http://www.bluecrab.info/forum/index.php/topic,50417.0.html

Hopefully a commercial waterman from FL will see it there and answer your question.
