Went out to woodland beach on the boat, caught the end of the outgoing tide, and incoming tide. Got almost a bushel till the motor started shutting off, looks like i got to fix the carberator. We got caught in one of the thunderstorms but the crabs were biting so kept going!! lol Be out again next weekend after repairs.

How deep were the crabs?    Were you in the ditch or in the main river?  They look very nice.  WTG
I crabbed  the Silver Run area yesterday.  Worked hard for for 3 hours for 2 dozen. Lots of females as well as small ones that are still swimming.  Crabbed in 4 to 10 feet of water.  Woodland sounds promising.  Did you get a lot of females in your catch?
Thanks,

Dave

went to the main river, 6 to 8 feet of water, some of the jimmies riding the peelers, got 2 big sooks, mostly jimmies in the water. anything over 8 feet was sinking my corks, so stayed in that depth.

what where you using (trot line handlines or cages)? debateing on heading out this weekend with my trot line. I normaly crab at the power plant but i'm looking to try a new place within an hour of delawre county PA. I was going to try the elk again with the line but I heard I may have issues with the sea garass with the line and the last time we were there with hand lines we had no luck.

is the water normally choppy?

thanks for the help
