My wife and I will be in S. Bethany Beach, De the first week of Sept.  Are the any places that should be good around that time?  We will be on a canal, should we just stay there drop a few traps and enjoy the beer or go elsewhere?

ummmmmmmmmm...crabs in the canal!!! I hope they are there...Told the wife to get floatation devices for my chair, tie a long rope to the back, attach cooler with bungie cords, then she can go shopping at high tide.  If she comes back and don't see me just pull the rope to get me back or wait for the tide to come back in.

There are crabs in the Canal.  It can get pretty shallow. Also, great time of the year for fishing and you have 2 Inlets to choose from.  The OC or the IR Inlet or surf fish the beach.  Drink one for me.  Good luck.
