Hello everyone. Just recently moved to Melbourne, FL. Looking to start some crabbing this weekend and wanted to try in the Eau Gallie river or Turkey creek areas. Wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for those areas or maybe some better locations near where I live. Thanks!!

Not many reports from that way.
Try a search and see if anything pops up here!

Good luck and post a report if you go!

Yes I have noticed that. Seems like a decent enough place for some crabbing spots though. I guess I will just have to make some attempts and see. Will definitely post a report if I make a trip or two.

Thanks for reminding me about Turkey Creek, I just got my boat and never thought about going in there, I might go out this Sunday if the winds aren't too bad.

Managed to make it over today to do a little fishing and saw some along the shoreline. Gonna put out some traps when I get my next paycheck.

Nah I didn't stay too long because there were a bunch of rednecks making a lot of noise. There was a guy with a castnet catching some 12 inch mullet though.

Got a few circles crab traps out in the water tonight. Caught two so far, one is pretty good size, probably around 7 inches. Gonna stay out a few hours and see what I get.
