Okay...I am thinking that these are Dungeness (sp) Crabs...see following article and please note the MIN SIZE and your DAILY LIMIT!!!

I did a google images on dungeness crabs and it sure looks like what Casey posted.

Recreational guys, were catching them off the piers at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, using crab rings a few weeks ago.
