My buddy and me are making one last crabbing trip this year, either heading to Little Assawoman or over to the Gunpowder River on the Chesapeake. I have seen almost no reports in the past few weeks for either Lil' Assawoman or Indian River. It's either really good now and nobody saying anything or it's dead. Any advice would be most appreciated!

I don't know much about either place but i haven't seen many reports that souond good for the gunpowder most guys are claiming the crabs have vacated the upper bay due to all the fresh water. Indian river/ Assawoman probabaly don't have that problem and may be a safer bet. Its a tough choice tho.

I'm trying to decide myself about staying here in Delaware or hitting the Corsica River in Maryland myself. I'll probably stay home just for the savings (travel, Sleep, ramp fees, and gas) and knowing that the last few times i went didnt go so well. Why spend the time and money to scratch out a few dozen when i can do the same in Delaware waters. Thats not a negative statement about either place I''m just still learning and finding spots.

Any of  the bridges or peirs along route 9.  or you could right down to Ceder Creek. Theres a big ramp with severla docks you could crab from if you don't have a boat. Or you could hit ceder creek or the Missaplillion river.
