Hit the Missapillion river with the wife on Friday using 600 ft of chicken necks and 11 traps baited with bunker. First hour or so dodn't go too well only four crabs from 3 trap runs and 2 line runs. Line runs were cut short kept getting hung up on what turned out to be an old pot bouy still attached. Attempted to cut the bouy off but my wife isn't as quick as i had hoped.  Had know idea what i was talking about, I guess all the marine growth was too much of a disguise. Moved up river and layed the traps and line. The line didn't really produce during the two runs we made but we killed em (by my standards) with traps. After a 15 minute soak had a few traps with 3-4 crabs each. We made it too 3 dozen after about 4 or by runs. I couldn't beleive never caught em like that before. I forgot to fill the gas tank up for this trip so not wanting to run out we cut this trip short and headed in with the beginnings of a nice dinner.  Added some corn from a local produce shop and some chicken and london broil and ate till our stomachs hurt.

Returned to the scene of Friday's crime sunday morning with just traps baited with bunker and picked up right where we left off. After the first 2 runs we had close to a dozen. Things were looking good until a nice sized pleasure boat probabaly close to 40 ft came down the river and churned up the bottom. Catching more crabs was tough at best however we did collect lots of dead grass and trash. We decided to leave and look for a cleaner spot never really found the crabs again but we finsihed up with about 2 dozen.
