What good are graphs when the DNR don't believe the numbers turned in by the Watermen...........
Never trust NOAA or DNR or EDF............It's too much money involved for them not to be corupt..

Not saying I have a solution, just saying this was an interesting read. The problem is too complex in my opinion for any one group to remedy.I do not claim to know how to fix it just thaught the article was interesting.

I agree...Very interesting..I guess I have "TRUST" Issues....
These Government groups sometimes pull numbers out of thin air,and put thousands of people out of work..NOAA has been caught being "NOT TRUTHFUL" before...Many people take these groups as being honest, when in fact they aren't..

I know what you mean.My local government has killed my business and thousands more. That is a very brief summary of it,plus it pisses me off that I have been over regulated and taxed and fees to death so I have no idea the people who are supposed to control my business heve no more people doing what I do.They have nothing to do but they do not lay anyone off and give them giant suvs to drive.Taxpayers are true victims in my book. This kind of abuse I could go on about for days.

there's no way its only 7%... but hey with bushel tags that should include recs too, the look on a recs face when he gets 4 bushel tags FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR will be priceless. Unfortunately this will never happen.

Robbie, when we go to catch shares, that means comms get 93% of the total harvest. Recs will be left with about two dozen.

Then in a few years from now, you will have groups of avid crabbers complaining to Annapolis that allowing commercials to catch crabs is a waste of a Maryland resource and that allowing recs to catch a majority of the allocation is a better use of the resource because they spend more money to catch each crabs. Laugh about it now while we can, but it's already happening with rockfish - and it will happen in the future with crabs. It won't matter how healthy the population is.

Of course. He atleast is open and honest that he is greedy and wants to take away from the comm quota so he can get an increased daily limit and year round season. Atleast he admits his greedy ways and is not sneaky like Brandie and a few others who won't admit that they just want it all for themselves.
