last report of the season again. too windy to go out on the boat today so decided to crab one more time.
absolutely no one else crabbin, took our 6 traps, 2.5 hrs 30 heavy crab kept nothing under 6". we just completed our first full season of crabbing, took over 800 crab, shared with all our friends and family. i want you all to know that you are the ones responsible for the death of these crabs. it started with the maps from masspi and since then it has gotten out of control. we wish we know about this 30 years ago, we love all kinds of fresh seafood and we think crab is better than lobster. it has however cut into our fishing. the season here has been 6 months so far  and it looks like there maybe a couple of weeks left still so, get out there before the long cold winter sets in.

Thanks for posting the report and the photos. Where I live in Texas, we can have good crabbing up until Thanksgiving.

To all............I am very pleased that my maps have led a lot of you toward the goal of getting your share.  I have spent the last 51 years (I started on my own at 14 years old on an old bike and a pail and a net) getting my share.  I have crabbed at just about every location on the Southcoast of Massachusetts and have tried to pass as much info on to you folks.  I have even had to miss my greatest passion, offshore fishing (Tuna, Wahoo, Billfish) because of some serious health issues and 6 surgeries.  I am pleased that over a thousand copies of my maps have been sent out by me over the years and I don't have any idea how many RobC sent out for me while I was unable.  The end result is that crabbing has become a great past time for many in this area and will most likely get bigger over the years.  Keep the crabbing grounds clean and don't waste the resources.

Go get your share before the Winter creeps any closer..........good luck
