Sorry I didn't post Tuesdays run but I had 160 pounds of 1's and 150 pounds of 2's
OK today Little slow after the cold front. Temps dropped down to the lower 50's with winds gusting over 35 mph.
161 pounds of number 1's and 145 pounds of number 2's plenty busters.
Gene you got to see these

Thats great.Around here a Lake is fresh water and crabs do not live in them. Are your lakes lower than the creeks from the main body of water that feeds them?

Great looking catch!, do you sell to individuals or strictly wholesalers. I grew up in Destrehan and used to go crabbing with my uncle. brings back some good memories.

No Lk Pontchartrain is fed by the gulf of Mexico. Fresh water rivers flow into Lk Pontchartrain which makes it what we call brackish water. Just a mixture of salt and fresh. Salinity levels rise and fall. Ronnie

Ronnie Sounds great! We live on a lake but no way for bay water to go into it but there are lots of fish and maybe 1 or two boats per year.Seems that the DNR got sick of people dumping their trash on 1500 acres of public land so closed the only dirt boat ramp on the lake but we live right on it so we have no problem accessing nor do we dump our trash either.

either by the paddle fin or a quick glance at the color of the crab. After doing this for so long I can usually spot one in the trap as soon as it breaks the water Ronnie

hey ronnie, still running them eh. i'm pulling mine up in the next couple weeks. market is bad and it's time to think about some deer. i'm trying to get on this last shed run. last week the shedders picked up for me as well. fyi i haven't talked to any of the shrimpers but i see a lot of them out there so something must be going on. i'm gonna leave a few out over the winter to keep some coming in if i get some individual orders but i should be out by nov. 5th or there abouts. gonna try to make a final run that morning for a boil for the big game. hope no big fronts come through. seems everytime i go out that N wind is kickin and i ain't gonna pull traps out in that slop. good luck with the rest of the season.
