Went out yesterday out of Back Creek at Husteds landing. Got a late start and caught a bad tide. I started in my favorite spots and just picked a crab here and there got a little anxious and decided to go to the Bay. I figured I would get the tide change quicker out there. Did a little better picking up some real nice big crabs. Then that slowed down and we went back in to Abbots creek and it was the same old story, just getting a crab here and there. Ended up with 50+ - a couple ( all male crabs). Definitely slowed down and the water temp has dropped significantly over the last 2 weeks. I think its OVER.............. Striper season is right around the corner. Was out at Ship John light house 3 weeks ago and bagged a 31 Incher and 2 cat fish 25 and 15 pound.  I might give it another try but Im definitely gonna bring the fishing gear with me cause the crabbing sucked yesterday........................... Im gonna enjoy these crabs, I think its gonna be the last I taste till APRIL.

I agree 100% 50 crabs this time of year is a great catch  I was on Mad horse creek Sunday water temps was 56 to 59 degrees  It is droping fast  But that also means the stripers are just around the corner,  Best of luck with them stripers  thumbsup

I''ll take 50 anytime I can, I have taken much less that's for sure.  I think the less I have the sweeter they taste.  Equipment stashed until next year.
