Went to the St. Mary's pavillion Park, arrived about 9:00 AM, only got about 8 keepers and left around noon.
Average size was good, about 5.5" to 6 3/4", with one just a hair under 7". About a third were immature females, which went back into the drink...
The park has a public access pier, located at 30° 43.167'N 81° 33.069'W.

Went to Meeting St. Boat Launch and got skunked. Only stayed about 1 hour. Located at 30° 43.994'N 81° 32.325'W, it is on the outside of a bend on the North River, which makes for a heavy current from tides. Bring weighted nets for this spot.

Wind began to pick up and looked like it was going to rain, so we headed for Borrel Creek (30° 45.209'N 81° 35.017'W) and got 5 more in about 2 hours.  Average size was about 6" to 6.5".

Used sardines, chicken necks and chicken livers.

Got back to camp and made dinner, steamed them for about 40 minutes in homemade seasoning while the burgers sizzled away on the grill...

Were you able to check out Crooked River State Park at St. Marys? Here is the phone number 912-882-5256. Nice looking mess of crabs.

Crooked river SP is next, although we'll probably stay at the navy base again.
