I was looking at crab traps on line at walmart and came across this:

I thought it was odd at first but then thought about when we use green LEDs for fishing at night that work really well. Only problem is the traps dont look Texas legal but easy enough to modify. They also sell a glue in the dark bait box.

Thats what I figured as well. I may get one just to see what happens but I'll have to put some breakaways on one panel to make it legal.
