Zero. Nada. Zilch. Bupkis. Diddly squat.

I forgot what live crabs even look like.

They are blue, right? About yo big with two claws.

On the other hand, conditions were outstanding on Barnegat Bay especially when you consider it is the second week in November. The Bay was flat calm; I could have skipped a stone across it's surface. There was nary a breeze. The sky was cloudless from horizon to horizon. The air temperature was flirting with 70. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. I love being on the water and this was an excellent day to be on the water.

I am glad I ventured out.
It wasn't a total loss. On my way home I stopped at Mudd City Crab Cake Company and picked up four back-fin beauties and a pint of Maryland crab soup. So at least I can pretend I was a successful crabber.
Thank you to everyone who offered their advice and shared their experiences on this wonderful forum. Your assistance was greatly appreciated.
Until next year...
Stay well,
