You looking to use traps, dipnet?  Where you staying (FMB, Sancap etc.?...Depends on how cold the winter is, they tend to get sluggish when the temperature dips but a few warm days usually helps....Let me know where/what type of crabbing and I can give you a few good tips :-)

Great Video with Lance, he is a good crabber in the area!!!   I have the Blue Crab Charters if you are interested.  It's a great time and guaranteed crab when you go out.

fins, where does Lance work out of?  Does he sell to the public do you know?  How is the charter biz going, do you have a website?  I can try to help spread the word around FMB to all the tourists...sounds like a great idea!

Lance works in the upper river.   I do not know if he sells to the public.    Charters have been steady.  I try to educate the charter guests about crabs and they get to see what it is really like on a crab boat.  Hard work for little money!!!  You gotta love it!!!
Thanks,
Capt. Rob

I went crabbing sunday morning.. Conditions were perfect for dipnetting the shallows. It was way low tide and the water was clear,no clouds. sun was warming up the shallows.I walked in about 12" of water for a mile.I ended up with 5 keepers.2 female 3 males. The water might be a little colder than favorable conditions, but they were starting to come to the shallows for warmth and food .it was very slow,im sure if i spent a few more hours i would have done better..
