Western Shore below BB 2011-Nov-27

Hit the water again yesterday with Summertop. We tried a hunch I had that always does well for me in the beginning of Nov. We wasted over 2 hours on the hunch after we caught 2 real nice keepers on the first run. Spent 2 hours catching 6 nice crabs. We pulled up and headed to my favorite late season spot and found them in good numbers. Nice crabs, full of sweet meat and for those that enjoy the mustard, I was told it was awesome. Once we got to the spot, we spent about 3 hours to fill a basket plus. Bait of choice......drumsticks. They were hungry with many traps having up to 3 crabs in a trap. Still a lot of throw backs but with some great culling, only the quality stayed for a sauna and steam bath later in the evening. I may have to hit it again next weekend....

I would think you could get enough for another meal down where you are at and this is the best time of year next to early spring....

Best part of the trip was the fact that all crabs were rock hard, including the shorts... It made me feel a little better about all those late season shedders.
