were $10 and $15... Something is out of wack.. Just like the
tolls at the bridge... that bridge has been bought and payed for
so many times it's sick... They got us by the nads!  Angry

Good. Now raise the rec license to $30 for residents of MD and a minimum of $50 for nonresidents.

Tell me where else in the world can you buy a license for $5 that entitles one to a catch with a daily value of $100-$150? It would still be a good deal at $50.

And we need a change in where the license money goes. Needs to go directly to DNR and not the general fund. Everybody complains about lack of enforcement for rec and comms so everybody should agree on this one.
Rec crab license would no longer come with a fishing license. Needs to be a stand alone license or stamp to accompany a fishing license. And simplify the rules, enforcement will be easier- insted of being allowed a dozen or two or whatever it is without a license its zero. If you want to catch crabs then buy the license. From 1 crab to a bushel you need the crab license. 1 bushel per boat per day, thats should feed any family just fine.

Don't know about Talbot but the ramps in Queen Anne have to be self sufficient. The upkeep can't be paid for by general funds.
Queen Anne is facing a big budget deficit in 2012. Don't be surprised if the fees take a jump in price.
