I was wondering where the oil fields are in Md,the ones that produce the oil that goes in your earth mover,or where the ore was mined that made it's steel. Are there refineries there ? I'm sorry Chris you're just not making sense to me.You seem like a kid that says ,this is my sandbox,I make the rules,if you don't like it leave.I said earlier I wasn't going to argue with you, this will be my last comment,God Bless, happy Holidays

...because you dont like how I feel about out of state crabbers, is why you think Im not making sense. To respond to you, go drill for oil in another state or mine for Ore and let me know how it works out for you.

Buying crabs/oil, ore is one thing, getting it yourself is something else.

Just to be clear here, we can have a civil discussion of opposing opinions without getting mad about it. Not once in any of my posts did I say any of you were wrong....I stated my opinion, thats all.

I agree Chris, nothing wrong with a civil discussion,I'm not offended in any way,and hope I didn't offend you. There's a saying "Opinions are like A^^holes, everyone has one and they're not all alike.I happen to love your state, have been going there since my teen years to swim, boat, crab.I think it's one of the most beautiful states in our nation, and it's actually where my family settled when they came to this country many years ago.My great grandmother was a bootlegger in Perryville many moons ago.All I'm asking to do is go there from time to time to catch a few crabs and enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake.

I dont think many Marylanders have a problem with that, but there comes a point in time when the resource just cant sustain the additional harvests. Many out of state crabbers do the same as you, but many abuse it as well.....posts on here all the time prove that. The cost needs to go up to make it worth it for Maryland to surrender its valuable resource.

I like to think of our state and the adjacent states as "Kramer and Jerry". I want access to everything in your fridge, and in turn, you can help yourself to whats in mine.......but, I dont have anything in mine.

You mean you don't want to go to PA and crab for oil crabs on the Deleware River, or travel to NJ to catch some of those 4.5" mumbos! Grin Grin  For the love of god Chris you don't know what you are missing. laugh laugh  This is why the DNR stance of recripricol license fees  is a joke.  Ok I will pay $150 to crab in Pa and $150.00 to pay in NJ.  I don't have a problem with people crabbing here but they need to pony up.

According to DNR themselves, taking recs out to crab on a commercial boat ansd accepting payment one can only keep the rec limits.  Already inquired  Wink

I think your source is wrong. Chuck is a licensed commercial crabber and is allowed by law to sell any/all of his catch to whomever he wants for whatever price he wants to charge. He is also a USCG licensed Captain which allows him to carry passengers for hire. If he wants to sell his catch to the people he carries on his boat for the cost of the charter, that's up to him.
