Ok crabbers, this is something to do on a rainy crabless winter day. Its not much of a recipe at all. You can do this anyway you like, but the most important thing is the brine.     BRINE 8.5 cups spring or filtered water.    2.5 cups white vinegar and a HALF cup of pickleing salt. Bring all of this to a boil and add a handful of dill and a handful of garlic (whole). Then add a table spoon of tumric powder. Let boil for 5 mins then turn down to a simmer for 30 mins or more, i usually simmer for a hour.
Ingredients:
GARLIC- As much as you want. I use a lot..
FRESH DILL- fresh is best. Get a bunch..I use a lot.
BLACK PEPPER CORN
CRUSHED RED PEPPER
ABOUT 10 POUNDS PICKLEING CUCUMBERS
10 ONE QUART BALL JARS
After you cut you cucumbers into spears, crush your garlic and cut up your dill. Take your CLEAN jars and add your garlic chunks (dill weed)(black pepper)and your red pepper to the bottom of the jar. Pack your cucumbers as tite as you can into jars, once you have done that add the brine to the jars. Leave a half inch space at the top of the jar. Now go online to ball canning. com and see instruction. I use a lot of garlic and red pepper. You can add a much or as little as you like. Follow the brine instructions exactly. They are good to in in about 3 weeks but get better with age. Good luck and have fun.
