Hello everyone

Went out to pick up some traps.  Came home with a boat load (90).  Weather was beautiful.  Good to get back out there again.  Had a few crabs in the traps.  12 dozen and 2.  Covered gas and boiling expenses.
Big boys are still catching crabs but mainly in the open waters.  I'm not going there.

Everyone have a great holiday and see you at Grabbe's.

Ronnie

The invite goes for everyone.  If you want to come visit I have spare bedrooms.  Plenty to go see.  Mardi Gras will be in February this year.  WWII museum, Aquarium of the America's, Riverboat trips,  Famous French Quarter and above all the infamous boat tour my the famous Capt. Ron Grin laugh.

I live close to the airport(sometimes to close) so I can pick you up with no problem.  I retire come May 1st so anytime after that I'll be free.  I'll start dropping traps March 1st.
See ya'll at Grabbe's

Waiting to see what the weather will be tomorrow.  Either I'm going to pick up another 90 traps or go fishing.  Bass and Sac-a-lait are biting real good now.

Females migrate to the gulf.  Males just burry up for the winter.  Right now worried.  Mississippi River way up above normal for this time of year.

Yeah Rich.  My son has been going in another area and doing real well.  I'll have to hit that spot before the water gets to cold.  Been in the 70's almost every day for the past week.

Nice Ron,

must be nice to catch for Christmas Dinner    laugh laugh  hopefully I wil make it to Grabbe's and finally meet up with ya!!! Grin

Went out Tuesday and picked up another 60 traps.  Very windy so I couldn't stack 'em to high.  Caught over an icechest and gave 'em away to the MEDI CARE CLUB.  A bunch of old shrimpers and crabers that hang around the launch.  Still have over a hundred to get yet.  Then the work starts.  Pressure washing and repairing.  I'll srart droping traps in late Feburary if the River doesn't come up to high.
